Denison Public School will resume classes as planned on Monday, April 16th.
JUST A REMINDER THAT DENISON SCHOOL WILL BE DISMISSED ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. TEACHERS & STAFF WILL BE ATTENDING ADVOCACY DAYS IN OKLAHOMA CITY. THANK YOU
DPS will dismiss on Thu. & Fri., Apr. 12-13, 2018. The plan is to return to school on Mon., Apr. 16. However, there is a possibility we may dismiss on Monday as well. That announcement will come no later than Fri., Apr. 13th at 5:00 p.m. This calendar change will not move the last day of school. The dismissal offers our teachers and staff the opportunity to advocate for dedicated funding that is recurring for education in our state. Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and teachers!
PTA - 5TH THRU 8TH DANCE TONIGHT 7 UNTIL 10. DOORS WILL OPEN AT 6:45. REMEMBER TO BRING SNACKS, THEY CAN BE DELIVERED TO SCHOOL BEFORE 3 OR TO THE ROCKET ROLLER RINK AFTER 6:45.
Denison School District supports our teachers, support staff, students and parents in advocating for additional funding. Our response to the proposed walk-out is one that is unified and hopes to provide a great education to our students while showing support for the movement. Denison teachers will send representatives periodically to OKC to represent our district in the funding protest. However, we are going to stay in school as much as possible. Any changes in the calendar will be posted as soon as changes are made. Additionally, any parents who would like to accompany representatives to protest may contact us at any time. Thank you so much for your overwhelming support for our teachers, support staff and students.
Denison will be out March 30 - April 2 as previously scheduled. Further information on proposed walk-out will be posted on our Facebook page and webpages.
WILDCAT STUDENT SOCIAL WILL BE THURSDAY, MARCH 29, 7 UNTIL 10 PM AT THE ROCKET ROLLER RINK. WE ARE NEEDING PARENTS TO PROVIDE
SNACKS. 5TH - SALTY SNACKS, 6TH - SWEET SNACKS, 7TH - DRINKS, 8TH - SWEET OR SALTY. CHIP, FRUIT OR VEGGIES WITH DIP HAVE BEEN POPULAR. PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR CHILDREN FOR A NOTE THAT HAS BEEN SENT HOME. THANK YOU! DRESS AS FANCY OR AS CASUAL AS YOU LIKE.
